Carer’s Group - caring for young people that experience life Outside-the-Box!
When did you last meet someone who understands how it is to be a carer of a young person that perhaps struggles with mood or presents with behaviours that are at times challenging to navigate?
Descriptors such as: suicidal, depressive, spectrum, anxious, oppositional, addictive, self-harming, dis-ordered - may be a part of your everyday life, but rarely get spoken beyond the walls of your family home or perhaps the clinic your child attends.
As a carer of a child or an adolescent who is Outside-the-Box it can be exhausting, exhilarating and exacerbating … all at the same time!! Who else understands this?
Facilitated by the wonderfully warm Cheryl Taylor, who brings both a wealth of personal and professional experience in this area, this group is designed to be a place of support, where it is safe to have all the responses that may otherwise be too hard to share about what it is to care for a young person that in some way experiences life Outside-the-Box. In joining this group, you will come away feeling connected, empowered and more hopeful in your role as carer.
